Călimănești-Căciulata, one of the most well-known spa resorts in Romania, is located on the banks of the Olt River, at the foot of the Cozia Mountains, serving as the gateway to the Cozia National Park - an ideal destination for hiking and nature exploration.

Famous for its thermal waters with therapeutic properties, the resort attracts thousands of tourists annually who come to relax and undergo treatments in a beautiful natural setting. Nearby is also the Arutela Roman Castrum archaeological site, a testament to the Roman presence in the region, offering insight into the area’s ancient history.
