Băile Olănești, another renowned spa resort in Romania, situated at the foot of the Căpățânii Mountains in a region of great natural beauty, is also known as the "Golden Springs" due to its numerous mineral springs, which have won multiple international awards for their therapeutic properties.
The resort has over 30 such springs, each with unique chemical compositions, used in the treatment of a wide range of conditions, including digestive, rheumatic, renal, and respiratory diseases, and are applied in both baths and internal treatments.
Băile Olănești also serves as a starting point for many highly popular mountain trails, with the nearby Buila-Vânturarița National Park offering majestic mountains, untouched forests, clear rivers, and picturesque gorges.
In addition to the spa treatments and recreational activities, which include mountain biking and outdoor walks in the recently modernized central park, visitors can delve into the region's spirituality and history by visiting ancient monasteries and churches.
Moreover, the resort hosts cultural events and local festivals, providing tourists with a wide range of activities, making Băile Olănești a top vacation destination in Vâlcea County (and beyond).
